i was worried about the bubble tea. not even going to lie. they give you this really big straw to sip it with so that you get the boba that sinks to the bottom. we still havent figured out what the heck boba is...ok it's tapioca...but what the heck is tapioca?

This was one of the most incredible beverage-drinking experiences of my life. Emily is going to explain what boba actually is because I can't be bothered with boring technicalities, but let me just say that a) it looks pretty much the same when you cut it open, b) it's fun to eat 4 at once, and c) despite the fact that the picture looks like beer mugs, there was no alcohol involved. unfortunately. (just kidding :)
ok boba are little balls of tapioca that sit at the bottom of whatever flavor tea you would like (brandon had honey milk tea and anna and i had peach tea) and the boba suck up the flavor of the tea. as brandon said, "When you bite down on the boba, it's like a flavor EXPLOSION!"
but still...WHAT THE HECK IS TAPIOCA?!
we're still searching for the answer...

FRIDAY, 12 NOVEMBER
CONTEMPORARY DANCE OKLAHOMA
for an evening of modern dance...
These people...these people who can dance...they are just all muscle and nothing else. If there was no muscle, they would just evaporate, I think.
OUR FABULOUS USHERS: CODY, HANNAH, AND ADRIAN...THEY'RE SO CULTURED
we had to go see the dance concert for my ballet class and i was so excited! they ended the first act with a piece called The Battlefield and the music started and i about had a fit because this piece is the larger piece that The Hunt is from! i was having a flashback to Rep One shows! the dancers were wonderful. but i must say, those fabulous pants with the swing tacked silk lining (that were stitched by anna and i) looked PERFECT!
Those pants were the bane of my existence...
SATURDAY, 13 NOVEMBER
DOG SEES GOD: CONFESSIONS OF A TEENAGE BLOCKHEAD
Charlie Brown + puberty + OU Drama = Good Theatre.
Most plays are introduced with a quick announcement and the silencing of cell phones...at Oklahoma University, we begin a play by celebrating Sam Bradford winning the Heisman and cheering "BOOMER SOONER!" No joke. So much culture. BOOOOOOMER SOOOOOOONER!
Sam Bradford pales in comparison, however, to the AMAZING performance by our fellow actors. Dog Sees God was incredible, not to mention that it made both of us cry...Emily sobbed her brains out. I was slightly more composed.
Chris Fitzer: "I felt that the show was inexplicably inspirational. The amoiunt of talent in that hot, little-bitty, cramped fire-hazard of a room was utterly nauseating. I'm so proud to call the cast my friends. I vote: Dog Sees God: Reprise 2009."
