la troisieme semaine: culture.week III

the pink and black ball:
a breast cancer awareness benefit

anna and i dressed up for this fabulous ball and then proceeded to make these fabulous faces. i don't exactly remember what we were looking to accomplish but apparently anna won and i failed. it's ok. the pearls are fabulous.

emily, kelsey, hannah, tyler!, chris, and anna
My friends clean up good, do they not?
the jazz band! when i read that there would be live music on the little triangle flyers that are always on the tables at the caf, i knew i had to go. the music was heavenly. and i just can't resist a man and his trumpet.

mass at st. thomas more's
with our token catholic: hannah.rose.broom

This is us as innocent angels.
we decided that it would be cultural to partake in a new religious experience. i had never been to mass before so we went with hannah. and then the priest quoted 'live like you were dying' in his message and my life was complete.

paris je t'aime a cinematic experience

This is a fabulous montage of Frenchy-type short films set in the City of Lights. The mimes are especially good. It was late on a weekday when we watched this, so that's why we look so exhausted! Kudos to Meghan for putting up with our antics.

anna and emily in the tropics with chris
and Broadway-Cares-Equity-Fights-Aids

chris and i collected the most money because we were freaking fabulous in our red. anna in the tropics was a great show to re-open old science hall. i hadn't read the script so i was so shocked when jordan died/was shot. woah.

Chris was my valentine. We are fantastic. And experiencing some serious Cuban-American culture.

and our favorite cultural experience:
PEI WEI

because we didn't make it to the cuban restaurant, we went to pei wei instead. asian diners really brighten my life.
I wish Pei Wei existed in Indiana. Thanks to Reed, Mark, and Chris for being our fellow Pei-Wei consumers.
coming soon:
anna and emily take on NEW YORK CITY!
